There are three rather large souls available by smashing the ash figures in this area but be wary of warriors who will spawn when you do. From here, you can snipe them all before heading back down. Step out to your left and a number of warriors will spawn – climb back up the ladder and head back to the ledge overhanging the area below. Head down the ladder at the bottom of the path.
They won’t follow you back around the corner so you can retreat and snipe if you need to.Ĭontinue on, and there’ll be another mage in the distance which you can easily snipe from behind the protection of the rise in the path. Kill this before proceeding as more warriors will appear from the ground as you get closer. Kill the enemy that spawns and follow the path.Īs you turn the corner, you’ll see a mage in the distance. Pull the lever to open the door and head outside. On the corpse on the floor is a top class flame-resistance ring so make sure to grab it. Stick a wedge into the idol and grab the soul fragment. There’ll be one warrior above the idol chucking bombs, but you can ignore him. Once you’ve killed a few of them, climb down, and wipe out anyone that’s left. Especially try and kill the big guy first. You really don’t want to go down there without thinning out the crowd. Basically be patient and shoot anything that walks into your line of sight. Do this, and the others will start to walk around. Now, it’s possible to shoot one of them through the hole with the ladder. Head to the fence (avoid the trap door on the left) and look down to see the enemies waiting for you. Inside will be more enemies carrying barrels. Head inside the tower again and follow the ledge to the right. Turn around and head past the tall metal fence. Head through the door, and turn right to find a bonfire. Kill him with your crossbow from the floor above then head down to kill the other. If you want to be safe, bait the one past the ladder and then climb back up. The one to your right will throw fire bombs so be very careful. Kill the warrior, and head down the next ladder as well. Continue through the room and down the ladder. Stand here long enough, and it’ll hopefully kill itself on the fire. Go halfway down the stairs, and you’ll see a warrior next to the flames. Head inside and go down the ladder on the left.
This room will be full of enemies carrying barrels – they are non-hostile unless attacked so leave them to it as they cause massive explosions (as such, be careful when they’re near the fire). Head to the right and open the next door. Head back into the main room, and pull the lever at the end to open the door. Once they’re dead, head into the room next to the ladder to grab the Dance of Fire pyromancy off the corpse. More warriors will attack, but they’ll be weaker now and easier to kill. Kill it, and quickly use a wedge on the idol. As soon as you hit the bottom of the ladder, the warrior to the right of the idol will attack. There is another idol and a load of knights in this area.
Head down the ladder next to the chest and prepare for a big fight. There’s a Titanite Slab in the chest at the end of this room. Climb down the next ladder, and then enter the door. Head through the door into the tower and climb down the ladder. Continue downwards, and three more will attack at the bottom. Drop down on the “wall” below you and then head through the door.Īs you step on the ash, a knight will rise from the floor to attack you. Drop on to the hanging platform, and then to the circular platform below that. Head through the archway and take the stairs down. One will head back in the direction of the bonfire, while the other will descend into the tower beneath you. Use the Smelter Wedge to destroy it and pick up the Soul of Nadalia it drops – we need to collect a load more of these. Wait for them to end, and then run up to the idol and interact with it. An idol will emerge ahead of you and spew fire pillars around the area. Head up the stairs, and stop before standing on the ash. Pick up the Smelter Wedges from the statue, and walk up the chain to the tower proper. Head through the mist door and up the spiral staircase. Get through this, and you'll have no problems with the rest of the game's content in NG+ and beyond. Note: This is by far the hardest part of the game. Behind this is an altar – interact with this to arrive at Brume Tower. Walk down to the boss area, and head through the door to the Primal Bonfire.
